Ethiopian Civil Service University community celebrated the 27th annual anniversary of Ginbot 20 on May 24, 2018 at ECSU main campus. The day was mainly celebrated by sport festivals conducted by students in different round.
Ethiopian Civil Service University signed construction contract agreement for main campus extension building on May 23, 2018 at ECSU Senate Hall.
The project agreement is signed with contractors:-Tilahun Abebe G c for the construction of lot IIB –G+10 Staff Residential Building (Two Blocks), Bantewalu Tesema BC for the construction of Lot-III (G+8 Academic Building and Hall) and Gutema Firisa Construction For construction Lot-l (G+5 president office Building B+G+6 and student and trainee Dormitory Building and G+2 store.
Ethiopian Civil Service University Research and Publication Coordination Office organized the Fourth National Conference on Public Sector Transformation and Development from May 22 to 23, 2018 at Hidasse Hall. On the conference ESCU scholars, Researchers and invited guests of Federal Ministries, Regional States and City Administrations participated.
The office the Vice President for Research and Community srvices, Ethiopian Civil Service University, organized a half day visit to Selam Children's Village on May 17/2018. The visit was organized based on the request of Selam Children's Village Management. The Ethiopian Civil Service University management led by Professor Fikre Deselagn, President of the University, was welcomed by Selam Children`s Village management upon arrival at the main office.

Ethiopian Civil Service University College of Leadership and Governance organized a seminar on a theme “the Role of Leadership on Statehood and Nation Building” on May 11/2018 at Ellile Internationa Hotel. The seminar aimed at bringing common understanding on the role of leadership in nation building processes by rasing cases of four selected countries: Somalia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Civil Service Fm 100.5 Community Radio Station celebrated its second year anniversary on May 2, 2018 on Abay Hall of the university. ECSU community along with invited stakeholders From Government Communication Office and Public Service and Human Resource Development Ministry attended the events.
