Objectives of the training: At the end of the training program participants will:
- develop fundamental oral communication in basic functions like greetings, expressing likes and dislikes, expressing feelings, offering help and other day-to-day activities.
Contents of the training: Greetings, Opening and Closing a Conversation, Invitations, Asking for Direction, Expressing Likes and Dislikes, Apologizing, Describing People, Expressing Feelings, Offering Help
What is Reading, Differences between Poor and Good Readers, ‘Gears’ in Reading Speeds, Patterns of Organization of Written Material, Defining Purposes and expectations in Reading
Duration: 4 days
Target Audience: Participants of the training are top, middle and lower level leaders and professionals of federal and regional public sector organizations.
Mode of delivery: The training will be interactive based on group work, exercises, case studies related to organizational and self-experiences of trainees. In each case, effort is made to relate the concept to the Ethiopian situation and challenges of communication in English.
