Ethiopian civil service university has more than 280 academic and nearly 1000 administrative staffs who are working vigorously to materialize its missionto become a center of excellence in public sector capacity building in Africa by 2025. The vice president office for administration and development is working to improve efficiencies at the university in the areas of Administration, Finance, Facilities, Procurement and Property administration.
There are eightdirectorates under the office. These are:-
- Human Resource Management and Development Directorate
- Finance Directorate
- General Service Directorate
- Students' Service Directorate
- Revenue Generation Directorate
- Property Administration Directorate
- Techniques and Facilities Management Directorate
- Purchasing Directorate
Responsibilities of Vice President for Administration and Development:-
- Advise, assist and support the president in the exercise of his responsibilities;
- Enhance the creation and sustenance of enabling environment with regard to the smooth administrative function within the University for the fulfillment of the University’s mission and objectives;
- Without prejudice to the University's objectives, design ways to expand the source of income of the University;
- Ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of service delivery standards and practices within the University;
- Design ways to enable professional and administrative staff of the University to excel in their performances;
- Coordinate and direct the administrative and financial affairs and infrastructure projects of the University;
- Prepare and submit plans and performance reports to the President, and follow up implementation of the plans;
- Exercise the responsibilities the president may entrust to him.
