Training Programmes

TI delivers a wide of range of trainings both scheduled and customised. Sectorally, the training programmes of the institute are categorized under three themes.

Urban Sector (Called as Urban Management and Transformation Training Programme) - As the world is growing urban and Ethiopia is expected to experience rapid urbanisation, we aim to build the knowledge, skill and attitude of urban leaders, policy makers and practitioners by offering training related to urban planning, management, development and environment. We also offer geospatial trainings.

Finance Sector (Called Public Finance Training Programme): We give special attention to trainings including public finance, economics and business related trainings. Although most of the trainings are geared towards the public sector, we also offer trainings related to the private dimensions such as public-private partnership.

Cross-Sectoral- (Social and Public Management Training Programme) building the generic competencies of leaders and employees of the public sector remain at the heart of these training. This includes leadership, personal development, service delivery, gender and cross-cutting issues such as youth, HIV/AIDS and disability. As the name indicates, these trainings target all public sector organisations while customising the content towards the nature and missions of each organisation.

Although our training are organised under the three training programmes, we also offer multidisciplinary training such as research methodology, data analysis software (SPSS and STATA) and ICT related ones. However, the institute is an open house to all sorts of public sector-related short-term training tailored to the needs of trainees and organizations. For the list, please check our broacher..
