Training Approach

Our trainings are led by experienced resource persons who are experts in their filed.  On top of being trainee-centered, it is practical and interactive.  Our training approach focuses on competencies combining knowledge, skills and attitude that an employee/leader can use to perform a specific job in the workplace. This training makes use of practical workplace experiences and emerging new perspectives and knowledge in the training topics.

TI’s Thematic Research Areas

The academic staffs of IT are expected to actively engage in research, which can be operationalized in two modalities. The first relates to scientific inquiry, which is thematic research and funded by TI. The second one arises from academic staff personal initiative to write proposal following a call from Research Issues Directorate. At present, TI has five major thematic research areas:

  • Urban Planning and Management
  • Urban Development and Environment
  • Public Finance and Economics
  • Public Sector Competency
  • Gender and Social Inclusion in the Public Sector
