Description

IT System Development & Administration Team is one of Information Technology Directorate teams and the main aim of a team is to strive technology in a University by developing problem solving system with collaboration of others and ensure the system continuity.

Responsibilities/Services

• Application developers often have the duty of creating, maintaining and implementing the source code that makes up the application or program.
• Application developers may also be responsible for designing the prototype application, indicate program unit structure, and coordinate application plans with the development team or client.
• Identify, create and define the application requirements.
• Develop, Implement and Maintain IT System.
• System analysis and design.
• Updating Application Servers
• Ensuring regular backups of systems.
• Maintain system documentation.
• Administer the University’s applications and web site.
• Giving tanning to the system users of ECSU.

System support and Maintenance involves: -

• SIMS (Student Information Management System) for Admin support, Instructor, Department Heads and others system users.
• Online student information system for students.
• Koha library system
• Green Stone digital library system.

Systems those are managed under the team are: -

• IBEX budget monitoring software
• Proxmox Virtualization Environment.
