ECSU Welcomes the Newly Joined Female Students

Ethiopian civil service University Center for Gender and Development held a welcoming ceremony to the new female students who joined the University from the Benshangul Gumuz, Ethiopian Somali, Gambela and Afar regional states on March 13 ,2015 at Renaissance Hall.

In her opening speech wr/o Abay Akemachew head of ECSU`s Center for Gender and Development reiterated her readiness to help the students. She also said,

ECSU`s Doctoral Candidates Defended Their Phd Dessertation Successfully

Ethiopian Civil Service University School of Graduate Studies held the second PhD dissertation defense program after it graduates its first PhD candidates in July 2014.  Sixteen candidates who had been pursuing their education in Urban Planning and Development, Public Management and Public Financial Management defended their dissertations successfully from Feb. 9 -12, 2015 to fulfill the requirement for Doctoral Degree.

Ecsu Presents The First Ethiopian State Of Cities Report

State of Ethiopian cities report project validation work shop held at Beshale Hotel, Addis Ababa, from Feb.11-12, 2015.The work shop was prepared by Ethiopian Civil Service University in collaboration with Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and construction.

The objective of the workshop is communicating the key findings and message of the draft state of Ethiopian cities report, getting feedback from the key stake holders, promoting further ownership of the SECR process and providing the platform for sharing experiences among relevant stake holders.

ECSU Ethics Liaison Unit Prepares Training On Corruption

Ethics and Liaison Unit of the University conducted a  half day training on corruption to the employees drawn from  each unit of the university on Friday 6, 2015.

The training focused on what corruption is, what makes corruption differ from other crimes, what causes corruption, how to stop it before it occurs, and what is expected from ECSU employees to fight corruption in every aspect of their work.

ECSU Students` Gender Club Members and Staff Visit Mekedonya

Ethiopian Civil Service University Students` Gender Club Members and Staff Visit Mekedonya

Ethiopian Civil Service University Students` Gender Club members in collaboration with the Univeristy`s  Center for Gender and Development visit and present clothing,  some amount of money and other materials to Mekedonya center of helpless elderly and mental defectives. On the visit, after presenting the Gifts, the members comfort Benificiaries by being closer, Showing love and Compassion. The people in the center used to suffer from different problems like sickness, homelessness and helplessness before coming to the Center.
