Following successfully graduating six of its PhD students, Ethiopian Civil Service University School of Graduates Study held an appreciation program for the leadership of the University in general and to the President of ECSU Dr. Hailemichael Abera in particular on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 for they have displayed utmost leadership role in the School`s success, according to the School. In the program faculties, institute directors and administrative department heads, PhD students were in attendance.

The first consultative workshop on draft indicators of State of Ethiopian Cities, which was organized by State of Ethiopian Cities Report Project Office, held on Thursday, 31 July 2014 at Renaissance Hall, Ethiopian Civil Service University. The workshop brought together sixty scholars drawn from Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Construction, Ethiopian Civil Service University, Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa and Surrounding Oromia Integrated Development Plan Project Office, different bureau`s of Addis Ababa City Administration and Federal Ministries offices.
