State Minister of Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Dr.Abraham Tekeste delivered a public lecture on March 10, 2011 to Leadership and Good Governance students at the Ethiopian Civil Service University.
Ethiopian Civil Service University senior leaders and other employees who have obligation to do so registered their assets on April 4, 2011 in response to the proclamation for the disclosure and registration of assets by Federal Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission. In the occasion held at the commission’s head office Dr.Samson Kassahun vice president for Academic Development, Institutes and Centers Directors, different academic and admin divisions heads and other employees whose task is related to making decisions on public finances and assets registered their assets.
Ethiopian Civil Service University Expatriate staff decided to pledge 10% of their one month salary in support of the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam. The staff gave pledge letter to the University President Honorable Dr. Hailemichael Abera at the president office on April 29, 2011.

Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Academic and Professional Development organized a half day workshop on Learner- Centered Teaching Approach to Institute of Tax and Customs Administration instructors on April 20, 2011 at Development Learning Center. The workshop is part of the Staff Development Workshop Series designed by the center.
In its quest to scale up mainstreaming HIV and AIDS at work places, the Ethiopian Civil Service University HIV/AIDS Management Unit has chosen Human Resource Management Department and Student Service as pilot project and held two half days community conversations on April 20 and 29, 2011 respectively.
Fifty ECSU staff members, thirty from HRM Department and twenty from Student Service participated in the conversation.
