The Newly Appointed President of ECSU Held Introductory Discussions

Professor Fekadu Beyene has been appointed as president of the University by the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development effective from February 05, 2016. As part of the introductory session, the president held discussions with Institutes and academic and administrative support heads and then with all the administrative and technical support workers respectively.

HIV/AIDS Management Unit Trained ECSU Staff Members

HAMU gave half day training on “Basics of HIV and AIDS” for 20 new staff members and 17 administrative staff members of Civil Service University in two rounds. The training mainly focused on awareness creation about HIV/AIDS, the transmission and prevention mechanisms of the disease. Besides, the proper way of using male and female condoms also demonstrated for the trainees.

CPFMTC Prepared Training

CPFMTC Prepared Training

Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Public Financial Management Training and Consultancy facilitated an 8 days practical training of Trainers (TOT) at ECSU on different issues.

The training is given to Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation workers on systematic approach to training, adult learning, training need assessment, training design and training facility and training evaluation.

Ethiopian Civil Service University graduated 342 students with Masters and Bachelor degrees on February13, 2016 at Abay Hall of the University in attendance with His Excellency Ato Adamu Ayana, State Minister of the Public Service and Human Resource Development, and Federal Regional government officials and the University Community.

ECSU Chosen to be one of the Champions for HeforShe Campaign

Dr Mulugeta Debebe, vice president for training and consultancy chosen as one of the male champions to join the HeforShe Movement by representing Ethiopian Civil Service University in a colorful event which was attended by Senior Government Officials, Diplomats, the UN Resident Coordinator, the UN Country Team Heads of Agencies, and Representatives from the Civil Society Organizations, Representatives from the Private Sector, Representatives from Universities and the Academia, Religious and Community Leaders and the Media.
