HAMU Trains Ethiopian Customs and Revenue Authority Staff
Center for Cross Cutting Issues Training and Consultancy, HIV/AIDS Management Unit trained 47 young administrative staff members of Ethiopian Customs and Revenue Authority, Lideta Branch on Basics of HIV and AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health for three consecutive days, from April 20-22, 2016.
Ms. Wubalem Arefaine, Head of HAMU welcomed the trainees and explained the overall program of the training. She initiated the trainees to participate fully in the training and raised different issues in the three days training.
The training mainly focused on basic concepts of HIV/AIDS, the transmission ways, prevention mechanisms and sexual reproductive health.
The training on SRH was given by Dr. Girma Alemayehu, Gynecologist , form ESCU Students’ Clinic and Basics of HIV/AIDS by Ms. Salsawit Assefa, Consultant at HAMU.
The trainees were fully engaged in the different topics raised during the training and participated actively in the discussion by asking and answering questions. The discussion gave a chance for the trainees to share their personal experience which was very significant for the trainees to learn from one another.
At the end of the training, the trainees forwarded their genuine comments by filling out the evaluation form and customer satisfaction survey.
