The Ethiopian Civil Service University Development Learning Center (ECSU DLC) was found to be the most preferable for an internet-based training in Ethiopia by the University of South Africa (UNISA).

“Over 60 per cent of HIV positive people across the globe are women,” said Yasmine Abu-Ayyash, Project Assistant, at the ECSU Center for Gender and Development. She said this as the World AIDS Day was observed by the university community on December 4, 2013. In a message sent through his Executive Advisor, Demis Merid, President of ECSU, Dr. Hailemichael Aberra lauded Ethiopia’s successful fight against HIV which brought the infection rate down to 1.5 per cent. In the past ten years the number of people who died of AIDS in Ethiopia has decreased by 53 per cent.
