1. OVERVIEW
Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate has the objective of developing a planning system to improve the operational plans, budgets, monitoring, follow-up and evaluation mechanisms to management of ESCU and meet the needs of stakeholders.

Services of the Officeof Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate are provided free of charge to the Ethiopian civil service University institutes, centers, offices and processes.
Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorateprovides the following services:
Consulting and facilitating: - Facilitators of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate are available to assist teams and units involving in planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting efforts.
Sharing best practice
Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate has the following duties and responsibilities
Coordinate the University level corporate planning and review processes.
Coordinating the development of the University Strategy
Ensure the plan of institutes and other core and support units address the long term goals of the University
Assist in allocate budget to the priority of the University
Generate credible information that assists in decision making.
Provide support services in the areas of planning, budgeting, reporting, review, monitoring and evaluation.
