Training Revenue Enhancement Planning in 8 Ethiopian Cities: 90 Certificates

During the Ethiopian Year 2013 and 2014 the Development Learning Centre of the ECSU was engaged in piloting the delivery of E-Learning-Based Trainings on Revenue Enhancement Planning (REP). The pilot has been finalised successfully for seven Ethiopian Cities, namely Debremarkos, Nekemte, Assosa, Gambela, Semera, Yirga Alem and Jijiga. 90 trainees received a certificate for revenue enhancement planning. Currently there is another training running for the city of Adua and is expected to be finalised during the month August 2014.

Training on " Basics of HIV/AIDS and its impacts" Given

HIV and AIDS Management Unit of ECSU gave a half day training to 150 staffs and teachers of  Wonderad Primary School on May 8, 2014. Among the participants of the training, 100 of them were female and the rest 50 were male. In the training the impact of HIV and AIDS was discussed from individuals, family and community perspectives.

Ethiopian Civil Service University’s ILG former Graduates Establish Alumni Association

Former Graduates of Institute of Leadership and Good Governance, Ethiopian Civil Service University, established an Alumni Association on April 24, 2014. At the inaugural Alumni Association Workshop a video documentary, papers on success and challenges in establishing network among the graduates and the Practice of ILG Graduates Placement were presented by members of Alumni Organizing Committee.

ECSU Celebrates International Women’s Day

Ethiopian Civil Service University and Yeka sub city, woreda 09 Women, Children and Youth Desk jointly celebrated the 38th International Women`s Day (March 8) on 26th March, 2014 at woreda 9 youth center hall. ECSU`s academic and administrative staff, students and residents of woreda 09 attended the event.

HRDA Standing Committee of the House Oversees ECSU`s Activities

Human Resource and Development Affairs Standing Committee of House of Peoples` Representatives oversaw the activities of Ethiopian Civil Service University on March 30, 2014. The overseeing programme included hearing the six month performance report, discussion with academic and administrative staff, visiting facilities of the University and infrastructure development activities.
