AIGAD organizes Public Dialogue
Ethiopian Civil Service University African Institute of Governance and Development organized half day public dialogue program on bilateral issues between Ethiopian and Azerbaijan on March 31, 2017 at Hidasse Hall.
On the program Dr. Brihahu Beyene Director of African Institute of Governance and Development in his introductory speech said the main objective of the program is to start cooperation between Ethiopian Civil Service University and Azerbaijan Universities. On the public speech spokes person of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the similarity between Azerbaijan and all African country in general and Ethiopian in particular. In Azerbaijan and Ethiopia many people with different religion and ethnic back ground live in peace and harmony he noted. He also said that the economic, social and political transformation in Azerbaijan did not come easily. It comes through many ups and downs. Today it became exemplary to all African countries and it is important to Ethiopian and the rest of African countries to take Azerbaijan’s experiences he added.
On the program participants raised many different questions and ideas concerning the historical, political, economic and social transformation and the current relationship between Ethiopia and Azerbaijan and other countries. On the issues raised by the participants the spokes person and members of the delegates gave answers and detailed explanation.
