CCITC Holds Discussion with Female Students
Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Cross-cutting Issues Training and Consultancy hold discussion on different issues with female students sponsored by Ministry of Women and Children On April 26, 2017 at Hidasse Hall.
On the occasion W/ro Abay Akemachew , Director for Center for Cross cutting Issues Training and Consultancy said the center works on towards creating awareness and supports students in Gender,HIV/AIDS and disability affairs. By this it strives to empower women in all their academic and social lives during their stay at the university. In each academic year, the center gives orientation and trainings for the new female students. It also organizes experience sharing programs to create a conducive atmosphere for them to strengthen their interactions and successfully achieve their goal. With this purpose this discussion has been organized to enhance the interconnection between the center and the student, W /ro Abay noted. She also advised them to take initiatives in all activities to empower themselves.
The participant students on their part expressed their pleasure to get the opportunity to join Ethiopian Civil Service University. They also appreciated the activities and services rendered to them by Center for Cross-cutting Issues Training and Consultancy and urged the center to extend its invaluable support for them till they complete their education. They also raised different issues for discussion and W/ro Abay Akmachew gave detailed explanation for the issues raised on the discussion program.
