CPFM Gives Training for Public Finance Workers
Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Public Financial Management Training and Consultancy in collaboration with Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation has been giving a month long training to finance personnel drawn from public universities and Ministry of National Defense from August 1-30/2016 at ECSU.
The training is aimed at building the capacity of finance personnel working in the organizations. The training focuses on government financial management, government purchase management, internal auditing and budget programming management.
In his opening speech Ato Mussa Mohamod, head of government expenditure and control office, said the training is organized to strengthen the capacity of finance personnel in Public Universities. Public servants who are working in financial matter are required to continually engage in professional training and development. He also requested all the trainees to participate actively in the training and share their knowledge and experience.
Asked about the training W/ro Mahtem Mebratu, Director for Center for Public Financial Management Training and Consultancy said that the training is prepared with due consideration of the government to upgrade the capacity of the trainees in financial aspects. She requested the trainee to fully participate and apply what they gain form the training when they go back to their institutions.
