ECSU FM 100.5 Community Radio Station Holds 2nd General Assembly
Ethiopian Civil Service FM 100.5 Community Radio Station held 2nd General Assembly on January 14, 2016 at Abay Hall of the university.
University communities, stake holders from the two sub cities –Yeka and Bole, Federal Government officials and invited guests participated in the assembly.
At the opening of the assembly, Dr Samson kasahun Vice president for Specialized Educational Programs and representative of the University’s president welcomed the participants of the assembly. He added that to fulfill our objectives of building the capacity of the public service, our cooperation is vital. You are one of the stake holders and owners of the station. And you are expected to contribute a lot to the development of the station.
Eden Bushra, general manager of the Ethiopian Civil Service University Fm 100.5 Community Radio Station presented the 2008 E.C. station plan to the general assembly and the representative of the general assembly discussed on the plan and give comments and suggestions before its endorsement.
The general assembly elected new board members comprises of seven members who can lead the activities of the station for the coming Three years. Ato Birhanu Belayneh, Vice president for Research and Community Service was chosen as chairman of the board.
In concluding remarks Ato Birhanu Belayneh vice president for research and community service and chairman of board thanked the participants and expressed his happiness that the board has been stablished. He added that this year the Research and Community Service is ready to share the knowledge and skills to the nearby communities. So you can join us and work together.
At the closing of the event the board members, University communities and invited guests visited the station.
