ECSU FM100.5 Community Radio Station Inaugurates Regular Program
ECSU Community Radio FM 100.5 started its regular five hours a day program beginning April 11, 2016.At the opening of the inauguration of the regular program president of the university, Professor Fekadu Beyene said that the station will play a significant role in creating awareness to the listeners on problem of service delivery, good governance and it contributes to the development of the country, besides entertaining the listener. By following our FM 100.5 programs, give comments and suggestions to the program producers and make the station influential cogs in the development of the community, he added.
At last the president thanked the people and organizations that contributed a lot for the development of the station since the beginning.
Ato Birhanu Belayneh, Vice President for Research and Community Service welcomed the participants and explained the establishment of the ECSU FM radio station. He added that the station envisioned to help the community to develop socially, culturally and economically and responds to the needs of the community it serves.
" To enable us to broadcast good and effective radio programs, as a university community, you need to work with us as a partner and open your door when we find information," said w/ro Eden Bushra, manager of the ECSU community radio station.
The Ethiopian Civil Service University Community Radio Station- Civil Service FM 100.5 is a radio station which is established under the university to serve the community within and around the university. The Radio is issued under Broadcasting Proclamation No 533/07 Article, 16 radio broadcasting license and registered under No 33/2003 with ownership of community radio and allotted frequency of 100.5.The radio station has a social agenda and deals with local issues which are not covered by public and commercial broadcasting.
