ECSU gives Program Budget Training
Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Public Financial Management Training and Consultancy in collaboration with Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation of Ethiopia organized ten days training on program budget for financial workers from November 14 -24, 2016 at ECSU. The trainees were recruited from different public organizations and institutions.
On the opening program, Ato Musa Mohamed, Head of Government Expenditure and Control Office said different training were given in decentralized ways in the past years. But this program is unique and prepared at institutional level in an organized way. It is also part of civil service reform program. The training consists of two parts- common courses and major course. The common courses include public financial management courses, financial transparency and accountability and other courses on general knowledge of financial activities. On the major course part you will have a deep training on program budget course which covers most of the training time, Ato Musa Mohamed said.
He also requested the trainees to fully and actively participate on the training and make it a two way process by sharing their knowledge and experiences during the training time. Finally he expressed his hope that the training will update the trainees and helps them develop their knowledge and get out of traditional ways of working.
At the end of the training the trainees will be awarded Professional Recognition Certificate for those who successfully accomplished the training.
