ECSU's Effort to Enhance the Participation of Female Staff said Significant
The Ethiopian Civil Service University has given a half day induction training for about 50 female leaders, teachers, and consultants drawn from different institutes and sections of the University on September, 20/2012.
The aim of the training was to introduce the female academic staff members the vision, mission, policies and the objective of the University and make them familiar to the University working culture and overall environment. The occasion also helps to pay attention to the issues that may possibly mention from the female staff members.
The training consists of the historical background of the establishment of ECSU; vision, Mission, objective of ECSU; organizational structure and capacity of ECSU; achievement and the transformation activities underway in the University.
On the occasion, Dr. Haile Micheal Abera, President of the University said,
" ECSU is working to balance the participation of female staff members in teaching, consultancy and leadership. In doing so the university has providing especial opportunity for female candidates during recruitment of academic employees."
The female staff members on their part said, ECSU's endeavor to enhance the participation of females is significant and can be considered as a good lesson to other organizations. They added, utilizing this opportunity ECSU facilitated for them, they are confident to serve the University diligent and capable during their stay.
