Ethics and Anti-Corruption Directorate gives training
Ethiopian Civil Service University Ethics and Anti-corruption Directorate provided awareness raising training to prospective graduates of 2009 E.C drawn from different departments of the university on November 2, 2016 at Abay hall.
On the training Ato Gebre Tibebu, Director of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Directorate explained the objective of the training and over all out comes from the trainings. The training helps you on identifying corruption risk, tools to prevent corruption, and awareness of the consequences if these risks are not managed appropriately in the daily operations he added.
Ato Anteneh Haile, the trainer, from the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (FEACC) gave explanation on the objectives, goals, missions and activities of the Commission.
He further explained types of corruption, characteristics of corruption, how corruptions differ from other crime, how to fight and prevent corruption deeply to the students. Finally he emphasized that as a civil servants you must play your role to fight corruption when you return to the respective federal or regional institutions.
Understand your role and what is expected from you is basic in fighting and preventing corruption. Anti-corruption training concerns every employee, but in very different way he added.
The students raise questions for further explanations and the trainer explained to them briefly.
