Ethics and Anti -Corruption Directorate Organized a Half Day Training
Ethiopian Civil Service University Ethics and Anti-Corruption Directorate gave a half day training for administrative workers on 07 December 2016 at Hidasse Hall.
On the training Ato Matheyas Sisay, ECSU Ethics and Anti-Corruption Directorate Ethics officer explained the general concepts and principles of ethics and service rendering activities. There are two types of services; material service and personal service. It is the combination of these two types of services that must be equally given to our customer. It is also important to accept as our major duty and responsibility to give services to both internal and external customers, Matheyas said. He also explained elements that should be taken into account in promoting service giving and fighting rent seeking activities and corruptions.
The participants of the training on their part raised different issues concerning ethics and anti-corruption related issues and suggested their views to fight corruption and rent seeking activities. In order to minimize corruption and mal activities and ensure good service giving activities, continuous training must be organized and given to all workers from top level management to the grass root level, the trainee said. They also requested the directorate to further strengthen its endeavor to tackle corruption.
The training was organized to create awareness on ethical elements and initiate the university’s administrative workers to combat corruption at all levels.
