Ethiopian Civil Service University Graduates Students
Ethiopian Civil Service University graduated 2000 students with Masters and Doctoral Degrees, with virtually held commencement on Saturday, 15 August 2020.
Dr. Lemma Gudissa, Academic Vice President, on the occasion congratulated the graduates and all the university community for their biggest achievement. This year`s graduation is different from our graduation held in the past years due to a threat caused by COVID-19, he said. ‘Considering the global widespread of Corona pandemic, the University has taken so many measures; first by suspending the face-to-face education, students are sent to their home by delivering transport up to the capital cities of regions. We applied different technological platforms to facilitate the teaching-learning process. The thesis defense was also held virtually to our satisfaction. Besides the university delivered quarantine services for more than 1110 persons under investigation.
For the candidates who could not graduate due to various reasons, the university will facilitate everything to continue from where they stop
.So he urged them to be patient and wait until we solve the situation,he underscored.
He also conveyed his message to the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired during their stay at the university and deliver the service diligently and assist the national transformation process.
Dr. Lemma Gudissa finally said, ‘I thanked the university management and university community who work hard and make this graduation real. Surely we will get out of this pandemic and work together with great determination to develop our country.
