A five Days Training Given
Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Training and Consultancy and Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority in collaboration with DHILAL Training, Consultancy and Media Service (Sudan) conducted a five days training and practical visit session to some eighteen Sudanese experts on Electronic Taxing System Skill Development in Monarch Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopa from 22nd– 26th of September 2014. The participants were drawn from different local government tiers of the country.
In the concluding ceremony of the training Mr. Elnagi Banaga Mohamed, Director DHILAL Training, Consultancy and Media Service thanked the Ethiopian Civil Service University and Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority officials in particular and the people of Ethiopia in general for the warm welcome and hospitality to the participants during their stay in Ethiopia. According to Mr. Elnagi Ethiopia and Sudan have longstanding cooperation which is strengthened by people to people relations. Mr. Elnagi also said
"the training was held in interactive manner and they have had good time with the trainers."
Mr. Elnagi had full of admiration about the ongoing development endeavor in the country and described Addis Ababa as a city being rebuilt.
Dr. Hailemichael Abera, President of Ethiopian Civil Service University expressed the University`s readiness to work together with the people of the Sudan and be able to exchange expertise.Dr. Hailemichael said
"In Ethiopia nobody considers Sudanese as foreigners; they treat them as Ethiopians"
Fitsum Kebere, Director for Training and Consultancy said "the training was accompanied by experience sharing visit to different departments of Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority."
During the visit, an in depth explanation on Ethiopia`s experience on the areas of electronic tax collection, unified tax administration, tax register machine and other similar applications and possible challenges.
Fitsum also said the Sudanese have successive requests for mutual cooperation. Among them is a training and practical experience sharing session to be held in collaboration with Ethiopian Investment Agency and Federal Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Agency.
According to Fitsum, these co operations will strengthen the bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries and contribute to the economic and social development of the people.
