Graduates of ILG Buy Bond and Make donation
The 2013 graduates of the ECSU Institute of Leadership and Good Governance donated 6500 Birr for Meles Zenawi Foundation and bought a 6500 Birr bond. They also donated 613 birr for the ECSU student council.
Representative of the graduating students, Dinier Abdulhamid, said
"the graduates collected money from different sponsors for the publication of their graduation bulletin. "
And after they had their bulletin published, they had some more money left. They decided to donate 6500 birr for the newly established Meles Zenawi Foundation, a foundation named after the late Prime Minister of Ethiopia. They also decided to buy bond so that the money could be used for the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam. According to Dinier, the refunded money from the bond would be used for supporting the Institute of Leadership and Good Governance alumni association. The second batch of ILG students who graduated this year are 123 in number. Eighty seven of the graduates are civil servants while the remaining 36 are members of the defense forces.
