The Late Dr. Kahsay Family Donates Books to ECSU
The Family of the late Dr. Kahsay Adem, donated more than 268 types of books to Ethiopian Civil Service University on 22th January, 2014 in the presence of institute directors and different academic and administrative staff of the University and family members. Representing the family, W/ro Tsehay Adem, sister of the late Dr. Kahsay Adem handed over the books to the University president.
Dr.Hailemichael Abera president of the University noted in the occasion that he and the late Dr. kahsay knew each other since he had been serving his country in the then Institute of Public Administration. Dr. Hailemichael added Dr.Kahsay was a committed professional who always worked to improve public administration problems in the country. When ever we met, we used to talk about change. He was concerned on the over all change processes in the country. He was also a good trainer who always wanted to see his country changing. This donation clearly demonstrates his desire to change his country, Dr. Hailemichael said.
W/ro Tsehay on her part said, her brother was taking care of his books like his children. He requested us to donate his books to an institution which works for public interest. she said
"We found out that ECSU is working for this cause. I am happy that his wish is fulfilled, the books are now in good hands"
Dr. Kahsay attended his tertiary education in Ethiopia and abroad. He also served in Ethiopia, Africa and Europe at different organizations at different levels from trainer to coordinator and advisor.
The link with this generous family was made possible through Dr. Waqgari Negari, director of Institute of Leadership and Good Governance. Dr. Kahsay Adem, prominent trainer, educator and researcher, passed away on natural causes on February 22, 2013, at the age of 67.
