MoFA Holds Graduation Ceremony for Graduating Diplomats
Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affair holds Graduation Ceremony for First and Second Round Trainees who are trained in collaboration with Ethiopian Civil Service University on March 11, 2017 at Capital Hotel.
On the ceremony Dr. Workineh Gebeyehu Minister for Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulated the graduating diplomats. Dr. Workineh Gebeyehu in the occasion said the second growth and transformation program in socio economic transformation is well underway throughout the country. In our diplomatic career we should tell the truth of our country to the world and accurately communicate our image with the external community. Our county expects great efforts from the graduating diplomats he added. He also advised the graduates to update themselves, diversify their knowledge and fully discharge the role of diplomats in this complicated world. He also thanked the Ethiopian Civil Service University for its contribution in building the capacity of the ministry and the public service in training, research, and consultancy and community service.
Professor Fikre Dessalegn Ethiopian Civil Service University president on his part congratulated the graduates for their successful achievements. He also mentioned that the Ethiopian Civil Service University is closely working with Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Ministry of Urban Development and Ethiopian Custom and Revenue Authority by launching demand based programs. ECSU and Ministry of Foreign Affair work together to bridge the gaps and produce skilled professionals in the diplomatic areas. In the last six years, more than ninety diplomats have been trained through short term training programs and post graduation programs Professor Fikre Dessalegn said. He also conveyed his message to the graduates to try their level best to promote and strengthen the relationship of our country with external community and increase their level of competence in the diplomatic arena.
On the occasion His excellence Dr. Workineh Gebeyehu handed over diplomas for the graduates and certificates of recognition for different institutions, organizations, scholars and diplomatic communities who have contributed in the training programs.
The Ethiopian Civil Service University has graduated more than two hundred and fifty students including graduating diplomats on March 4, 2017 at Abay Hall.
