National Conference Held at ECSU
National conference on ‘Practices, Challenges, and Prospects of Quality Education in Ethiopia’ held at ECSU from March 4- 5, 2016 at Hidase Hall of the University.
The conference is organized by Consortium of Ethiopian Public Universities (CEPU). All public universities, stake holders and invited guests participated in the conference.
In a welcoming remarks, Prof. Fekadu Beyene President of CEPU and Ethiopian Civil Service University thanked the researchers and participant of the conference.
“ Since CEPU advocates for assurance of quality education in Ethiopian universities ,through inter university strategic alliance ,collaboration ,and networking ,this conference is believed to be the timely forum where open sharing of experiences and academic discourse shall take place paving the ways in gaining new insights into our mutual national conference –quality education for all in bid to realize GTP2 ,SDG of the UN, “Prof. Fekadu Beyene said.
Dr. ketema Meskela made an opening speech representing HE Kaba Urgessa, State Minister for Ministry of Education. He in the occasion congratulated the committee of CEPU and the secretariat staff of the consortium on successfully staging such an interesting national conference on quality education.
He added that this national conference is an excellent opportunity for all of us to share our vision- quality education for all students. It starts from recognition of what we have achieved until now and what is needed to be done further.
In the conference More than sixteen participants have presented their research.
CEPU’s vision is to see Public Universities team up to realize their roles as academic institutions in teaching ,research and technology transfer, and provide services to society and ensure national competence in higher education and beyond.
