Training on Cascading Strategic Objectives of the College Held
Ethiopian Civil Service College Center of Academic and Professional Development Organized a three day training on cascading the corporate level Strategic objectives to Institutes, Specialized Teams, Centers and individual level.
The training conducted from August 13-15, 2010 at Debre-Zeit Management Institute. The College President, the two Vice Presidents, Institute Directors, Academic and Administrative Support Services and Centers heads and concerned bodies participated in the training.
Although the main focus of the training was cascading strategic objectives to Institutes, specialized teams or individual level, the trainers have given an overview of the levels 1 up to 6 and in-depth explanation on level 7 ( Automating the BSC) .
The training was participatory and the participants grouped in to their divisions and do exercises on how to cascade the strategic objectives of the College in to a selected Institute, Center or support process.
Spiritual cascading was high on the training agenda. The participant stressed on the extreme importance of spiritual cascading so as to align the goals of the organization. So the participants reached to consensus that every one should work hard to make the employee feel ownership of the collage’s vision and strategic objectives and work for the realization of them.
In conclusion Dr.haile-Michael Abera and Dr.Samson Kassahun reflected their ideas on the overall training and trainees participation. They also give directions on how the academic and support services proceed on the cascading processes .Dr. Haile Michael finally said we should be proud of what we have done so far and be part of the this historic moment. He also urged the participants to execute their duties with passion.
Ato Mohammed Adem, Ato Tesgay Tafere and Ato Atakilti Hgos delivered the training.
