Training on Ethics and Anti Corruption Held
Ethiopian Civil Service University Ethics and Anti Corruption Directorate Organized a half day training to 68 staff members drawn from Finance and Procurement, Human Resource Development, Property Administration and Technique Directorates on 28th September, 2018. Directors, Team Leaders and individual performers participated in the training.
Ato Gebre Tibebu, Director for Anti Corruption and Ethics Directorate, said that the main objective of the training is to create awareness among the university community and help them play their role in the fight against Corruption. These sections are selected for the training due to the high exposure to different kinds of maladministration and corruption based on the study, said Ato Gebre Tibebu.
W/ro Genet Mamo, trainer from the Federal Ethics and Anti Corruption commission said that the issue of corruption is not given due emphasis in the country. Even our medias focus on sheer entertainment. According to W/ro Genet many of the public and private organizations failed to sponsor serious issues like Anti corruption which makes it difficult to create awareness among the public at large.
The training addressed different issues by relating the theories with practical experiences.
