Training on issues concerning ethics is given
Ethics Liaison Unit of ECSU gave a half day training aimed at raising the awareness of employees of service providing departments on issues concerning service provision ethics. While opening the training Head of the unit, Gebre Tibebu, expressed his appreciation to the employees for they are contributing their share in the fight against corruption.
According to Gebre, the major objective of the training was to raise the awareness of the participants on issues concerning service provision ethics and identifying what is good and bad manners while providing service to customers. He mentioned religion, culture, family and peers as main sources of good or bad manners. He listed treating all customers equally, honesty, trustworthiness, transparency, punctuality and politeness as good manners that service providers need to have.The participants discussed in groups on relevant issues.
Gebre said similar trainings have been given to employees of different departments of ECSU by his unit. Sixty three participants drawn from Student Service, Estate Facility Management Service, Training Facility and Hospitality Management Departments were in attendance at the training.
