Training on Policies and Strategies Held
The Ethiopian Civil Service University provided trainings to all administrative staff of the University in two rounds from November 10 -21/2014. Around 700 administrative workers participated in the training.
The training focuses on: Ethiopian people`s struggle and the country`s renaissance, the pass to renaissance and Ethiopia`s renaissance, Developmental Democratic State formation and its challenges , fundamental principles of FDRE constitution and the role of the civil service, and the importance of building developmental civil service and its role.
At the opening of the first round of the training Dr.Hailemicheal Abera , president of the university said that
"the training is prepared to aware the employees on Ethiopian People`s struggle and the country`s renaissance so that they contribute their share to the development of the nation."
The president also said that Peace and stability for our country is a guarantee for our development .We are expected to work together and get out of poverty within a short period of time as development means the sum- total of what each institution do in their respective work, he added.
The training proceeded through discussion with active participation of the employees in each group for five days. At the closing day of the training, different questions and concerns were raised by the participants. The management council and other concerned bodies in the university reacted to the questions and concerns of the employee .The president appreciated all the trainees who forwarded questions and raised their concern emphasizing that open discussions and dialogue is important.
Dr. Hailemichael finally urged the trainees to fight rent seeking and work for the prevalence of suitable working environment in the University.
In similar development the University gave training for its students at the two compasses of the university for three consecutive days starting from Friday 12-14, 2014.
