CUDE Celebrates World Environment Day
Department of Environment & Climate Change under the College of Urban Development and Engineering celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2018 at Hidasse Hall.
In his opening speech, Dr Bisrat Kifle, Deputy Dean of the College of Urban Development and Engineering thanked the organizing committee and students who participated in the program. He also said that waste management is a major issue in urban development in developing countries, so we are at the beginning era in managing the Environment. We must aware that the protection and improvement of the human environment is a major issue, which affects the well-being of people and economic development throughout the world, so communities play a great role in preserving and enhancing the environment. And let’s all clean up our environment, protecting under water and on land ecosystems, he added.
On the program a Presentation on ‘’ Plastic management” presented by Dr. Mahesh Kumar and different program also presented by participant students from Department of Environment & Climate Change.
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th and was created to inspire people around the globe to become active about the environment and learn more about ways they can help to ensure the future of our planet is safe.
