Ethiopian Civil Service University graduated sixty nine parliamentarians after attending courses on Basic Laws and Basic English. Thirty six of them took a course on basic Law which contains fifteen different titles and the other thirty three attended Basic English courses at beginner and intermediate levels.
Guest of honor Her Excellency Wzo. Roman Gebresillasie, Government Whip at the House of Peoples’ Representatives said in the certificate awarding ceremony
" that both trainings are important in their day to day activities in the parliament. "

Opening the training, President of ECSU, Dr. Hailemichael Abera said that ECSU is in the process of modularizing its curriculum like all universities across the country. He noted that the modular curricula that the university is preparing have to be based on the national goals and situations of Ethiopia, although every curriculum should keep a balance between national and global situations.
As libraries have been computerized, all library workers need to have at least basic skills on how to use computer, says Head of the ECSU Library, Sebele Gebreyes.
Ethics Liaison Unit of ECSU gave a half day training aimed at raising the awareness of employees of service providing departments on issues concerning service provision ethics. While opening the training Head of the unit, Gebre Tibebu, expressed his appreciation to the employees for they are contributing their share in the fight against corruption.
