As part of its effort to establish School of International Relation and Diplomacy Ethiopian Civil Service University signed Memorandum of Understanding with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on the 27th of January, 2011 with the attendance of institute directors, department head of ESCU and dean and vice deans of different academic institutions of BFSU.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Hailemichael Abera President of ECSU and Professor Yang Xueyi, Chancellor of the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).
