Dr. Fasil Nahom, Legal Advisor to the prime minister with rank of minister gave a public lecture to ECSU community entitled "The Economic Underpinnings of the FDRE Constitution" on January 24, 2014 in Renaissance hall of the University.

Before he started his presentation, his memory flashed back to his stay at the University some 16 years ago. He said he feels at home and he is happy to see the University growing in such extent.

HIV and AIDS Management Unit of ECSU undertook Community Conversation ( CC )with Estate and General Service Department staff on January 24, 2014. Community Conversation was held for half day and the objective of the Community Conversation was to discuss on the basics of HIV/AIDS and how the trainees can protect themselves, their families and the community from HIV/AIDS. Among the participants, eleven of them were male and the rest 19 were females. The Community Conversation is believed to enhance their awareness on how to bring AIDS free environment in their work place.
