Ethiopian Civil Service University Institute of Leadership and Good Governance held a workshop which discussed the findings of Entrance Exam quality standards survey and the guideline developed for the preparation and administration of entrance exams. The workshop was held on December 26, 2013 at ECSU`s main campus.

Forty two participants drawn from ECSU, UNDP, French Embassy to Ethiopia and Civil Service Ministry were in attendance.

“Over 60 per cent of HIV positive people across the globe are women,” said Yasmine Abu-Ayyash, Project Assistant, at the ECSU Center for Gender and Development. She said this as the World AIDS Day was observed by the university community on December 4, 2013. In a message sent through his Executive Advisor, Demis Merid, President of ECSU, Dr. Hailemichael Aberra lauded Ethiopia’s successful fight against HIV which brought the infection rate down to 1.5 per cent. In the past ten years the number of people who died of AIDS in Ethiopia has decreased by 53 per cent.
